Created in 1885 by Stanislao Cobinachi and named for Princess Elena of Montenegro, who became Italy's second queen and reigned from 1900-1946. One of the most ubiquitous bottles of amaro behind the bar, Amaro Montenegro has a light and sweet flavor profile with known ingredients that include orange peel and vanilla. Copper in color, sweet and mild with light bitterness. Notes of tangerine, cucumber, orange peel and black cherry. 23% abv.
