Velvety and sumptuous, mouth-watering and très chic, Chambord is a fine liqueur from France's Loire Valley. Black raspberries (Rubus occidentalis), blackberries, blackcurrants and other varieties of raspberries are infused in a proprietary base of XO cognac (at least 6 years old) and fine French spirits for four weeks, before a second infusion following a delicate pressing of the berries to extract the juices of the berries. This base is then made into Chambord with the addition of Madagascar Vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey and various herbs and spices including cloves, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. This complex yet highly approachable liqueur shines with just a splash of tonic, soda water or sparkling wine (we recommend a Crémant de Loire, naturally) or in one of many original cocktails with gin, whiskey and beyond.
